As I slowly made my way to different states and national parks, I began to notice something very troubling. I was bothered then and continue to be saddened by the fact that the national park signs consistently mention evolution like it is fact and other worldviews aren’t even considered. This prompted me to write a book that celebrates the beauty and majesty of and science behind the national parks through the lens of the Christian worldview. It also provides a devotion for park-goers to read either before, during, or after their visit to the park. And finally, some tips and tricks for what to see and do at the park, some interesting facts to ponder, as well as some pictures from my time in the park. This first book will focus on the parks located in the Four-Corners states of Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico with hopes of additional books in the future.
Addison Doyle was born in Southern California, but grew up in and calls Arizona home. She works on the ministry staff at Christ Church Lutheran and teaches piano to over 40 students.
This book gives the Christian worldview and the science – yes faith and science together – for how the national parks came to be, a devotion, tips and tricks, an account of my experience in the parks along with some pictures.
